About me

I am an experienced, fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist accredited by the BACP, and registered with the UKCP. I have worked within the NHS, a number of other mental health-related organisations, and for over 12 years in private practice.  I also have a private practice in Weybridge, Surrey: see for further information.

I work on both a short-term and a long-term basis with individuals and couples: I aim to provide a safe, confidential environment in which it is possible to explore the nature of anxieties, problems or other issues which may be getting in the way of a happy, fulfilling life.

My modality is relational, psychodynamic therapy using the frame of Transactional Analysis, although I do integrate other approaches where appropriate.

Relevant qualifications

I have a Diploma in Integrative, Humanistic Counselling, and I am trained to Levels 1 and 2 in EMDR (a specialist form of psychotherapy for trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). I also have a Certificate in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).  I have an MSc in Relational Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, and I am a Provisional Teaching & Supervising Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy).

I am a Senior Accredited member of the BACP, and I am registered with the UKCP.  I have a Certificate in Psychosexual therapy from the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships.

Other qualifications

Additionally, I am qualified to post-graduate level in other disciplines, and I am also a  Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership & Management.
